Antique Afghan Baluch prayer rug by the Taimani nomads of central western Afghanistan. 

Circa 1900/20. 

This is a interesting example of a small Taimani prayer rug the design of two latch hook medallions on a soft red ground. The border design is most unusual and may point to the rug being from Turkestan. The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile. The rug is suitable for light domestic use and would make a superb wall hanging.
