Cotswold Oriental Rugs is one of the UK’s largest suppliers of hand-woven oriental carpets & rugs. Located in the picturesque North Cotswolds town of Moreton-in-Marsh, we carry an extensive stock of over 1,000 items, ranging from small nomadic tribal rugs to large decorative furnishing carpets. Established in 2002 the company has a wealth of experience dealing with private clients and interior designers both in the UK and worldwide; to include Europe, The United States and Japan. Whether you require a single rug or are working on a large project we are happy to assist and advise on your purchases.
Our Stock:
Cotswold Oriental Rugs specializes in antique carpets & rugs from the nomadic tribes and villages of The East to include Persia, Turkey, The Caucasus, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan. In our collection you will find an exciting range of items that cover all sizes and budgets; from a small hearth rug to large carpet for a country house living room we will be pleased to assist. As well as antique carpets & rugs we also hold a unique range of contemporary carpets & rugs woven in Turkey.
Our Showroom:
Our showroom is based in the picturesque town of Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds where we hold a selection of our collection. On our contact page, you will find opening times, we are also happy to open at any other time by appointment to suit your needs. With all our rugs & carpets, we offer a home trial without obligation to ensure we find the right piece for your home. Our antique carpets & rugs have all been professionally hand washed and are presented in perfect showroom condition. If you wish to view a specific item from the website, please give 48 hours’ notice to enable us to bring the item from our warehouse to the showroom for viewing.
Rug Cleaning and Restoration:
Cotswold Oriental Rugs are pleased to offer a comprehensive rug cleaning & restoration service at our facility in the UK, or at our partner workshop in Turkey. We are happy to undertake anything from a simple wash and stain removal to full re-weaving of large antique carpets, no job is too large or small for our workshop. Our restorers are considered to be the best working in the UK and their services are constantly in demand by private clients, historic houses including The National Trust and specialist carpet dealers throughout the UK.
