Old tribal style rug Shiraz region probably by settled weavers from the Qashqai tribe. 

Circa 1920. 

A good large size rug with all over large boteh design on a soft terracotta ground. The diagonal rows of boteh are in alternating colours. The traditional borders frame the rug well. Good condition with even wear and good pile. Hand washed and ready for use. An excellent furnishing rug suitable for normal domestic use.
