Antique San Jabi Kurd bag face of double hooked medallion design with a beautifully drawn bird foot border. 

Late 19th century. 

The bag face is well drawn with hooked medallions surrounded by a floral rosettes and other tribal devices outside the bird foot border is another border of floral rosettes. The bag face retains the closing lappets at the top. The ground colour is a dark aubergine. The design is classic most unusual and this is a scarce collectors item. The bag face is in good condition with even wear and medium/low pile there is corrosion to the aubergine as would be expected. The wool is very soft and the bag face has a floppy handle. The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for display.
