Antique Tekke Turkmen rug of traditional design and pleasing colour. 

Circa 1900. 

The rug has a traditional Tekke gul design with 3 rows of 11 guls. The rug has a soft warm colour with cochineal dye used extensively in the border. The rug is of a fine weave with excellent soft wool with a velvet like feel. The rug is in fair condition with slight even wear and good pile there is some wear to the side bindings on the left hand side and slight damage to the bottom right hand corner. The rug could easily be repaired and the faults are reflected in the price. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use. The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
