Antique Ersari Turkmen saddle cover / rug with interesting design.
Circa 1900.
This excellent tribal saddle rug by the Ersari Turkmen of southern Turkmenistan or Northern Afghanistan features an interesting repeat design with subtle colour changes. Note the opening for the pommel of the saddle.
Excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile, some signs of tribal use.
