Antique rug from the Greater Hamadan region with a unusual variant of the herati design. 

Circa 1920. 

The design is most unusual with the large central medallion and the field containing a very simple version of the well known herati design. The colours throughout the rug have a gentle warm feel with the main field colour being a soft rust colour. The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use. The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
