Antique South Caucasian Karabagh Kazak rug with Memling gul design. 

Circa 1900. 

The rug has five elongated Memling style guls on a soft madder red ground there are various Caucasian design elements in the field along with a number of animals and birds. The inner reciprocal border is beautifully drawn and uses a soft green that is very pleasing. The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use. The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
