Antique Baluch pushti bag face with lotus leaf lattice design. 

Circa 1900. 

Pushti were used as pillows or back rests they were filled with wool or straw through a small opening to one side. This face from a pushti originates from the region of Western Afghanistan. The design is a lattice of lotus leaf outlined in a clear yellow. Both ends retain long brocaded end finishes. The wool is very soft to the touch. The bag face is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile. The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
