Antique Caucasian Gendje Kazak runner with boteh design. 

Circa 1890. 

A pleasing example Gendje Kazak runner with rows of colourful boteh on a midnight blue ground the use of alternating colours creates a diagonal stripe effect. The floral rosette border on a soft red ground is typical of the Gendje region. A very good furnishing Caucasian runner. The runner is in excellent good with slight even wear and medium pile. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use. The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
