Antique Anatolian Yahyali rug with traditional large medallion design. 

Circa 1920. 

A good example of this classic Yahyali design with a single large medallion in warm red on a dark indigo blue ground. The field is filled with traditional design elements associated with the village. The very attractive red ground border frames the rug well. Good condition with even wear and medium pile the ivory central medallion has slightly lower pile. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use. Hand washed and ready for use or display.
