Antique Tekke Turkmen saddle cover / rug with aina design.
Circa 1900.
This excellent tribal saddle rug by the Tekke Turkmen of Turkmenistan features an interesting repeat design of aina guls containing the kotchak motif. Note the original decorative tassels.
Excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile, some signs of tribal use.
