Antique East Caucasian rug with Lesghi star design. 

Circa 1900. 

A good small rug with a vertical row of four Lesghi stars. The ivory stars stand out from the dark indigo blue background. The ivory border and pastel colours give the rug a light feel. Excellent condition even wear with medium pile. Hand washed and ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for light domestic use or it would make a superb wall hanging.
