These rare rugs are known as Komurcu rugs; this means coal or black they are given the name due to the black back ground. This example is most unusual as it bares the date 1945 along with an inscription. This particular example has a wonderful design and excellent colours The condition is excellent with only very slight wear and full pile excellent wool very thick heavy pile. Hand washed and ready for use or display.
