Size: 4ft 9in x 2ft 8in (145 x 82cm). Antique Khorasan region Baluch rug with a lattice design woven with camel wool. Circa 1900. This tribal Baluch rug is of a very rustic form woven by nomads using the material that they had to hand camel wool undyed brown sheeps wool and some dark indigo dyed wool. The lattice design is typical for the region and also associated with the Bahluli nomads. The border is of the well known meandering vine design. The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium pile lower in a few places. The rug has a very soft floppy handle. The rug is suitable for light domestic use. Stock Number: D-0414.
