Antique Tekke Turkmen main carpet with 5 rows of 14 Tekke guls. 

Circa 1900. 

The carpet has a soft madder brown / red ground colour the design is traditional Tekke Turkmen. The border is of the Turkmen octagon and sunburst design. The carpet has highlights in Cochineal dye through out. The carpet is in excellent condition with even wear with medium pile. Both ends retain the original large elem panel end finishes. The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use. The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use.
