Antique South Caucasian Kurdish rug with colourful repeat design. 

Circa 1920 

This is an interesting rug with a design to the field and borders that is associated with rugs from the Karabagh region of the south Caucasus. The rug clearly has the weave and handle of a Kurdish village weaving. The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium pile this is a thick heavy rug that is very durable. Hand washed and ready for use or display the rug is suitable for heavy domestic use.
