Antique Persian Luri tribe runner with all over repeat shield design.

Persian tribal runners are quite scarce this is an excellent example with an all over repeat shield design in soft pastel colours on a deep indigo blue ground. This design is more often found on rugs and bags by the Afshar Tribe. Another feature of note on this runner is the border this design is also found on Kurdish rugs. The runner is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile. The runner is suitable for normal domestic use such as an entrance hall. The runner has been hand washed and is ready for use.
