Antique Baluch rug with scarce white ground stripe design. 

Circa 1900. 

An interesting rug with a design related to those found on Ersari chuval and sleeping rugs. The alternating stripes of white and madder red contain a repeat bar and star design. The border is the classic Baluch boat border. The rug is in fair condition with wear and medium / low pile the rug is fine with a soft floppy handle. Hand washed and ready for use or display. Suitable for light domestic use.
