Antique Afshar tribal rug with diamond lattice design. 

Circa 1900 

A very sweet rug of small square size with all over repeat design within a diamond lattice. The soft pastel colours stand out against the dark charcoal background. The border designs are typical of those found in Afshar weaving. Good condition with slight even wear there is some corrosion to the dark charcoal background give a relief effect to the pastel colours. Hand washed and ready for use or display.
