Antique Afghan Bahluli Baluch rug with a lattice design and ivory ground border.

Bahluli Baluch rugs are fairly scarce and originate from the borders of Western Afghanistan and the Khorasan region of eastern Persia. This example has a fine lattice design containing the traditional Bahluli motif note the small white rosette flower heads at each intersection of the lattice. The main border is a very traditional Bahluli design on a scarce ivory ground. The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile. The rug is suitable for light domestic use.
