Antique Kizyl Ayak Ersari Turkmen main carpet with an unusual variant of the ‘tauk nuska’ gul design; each segment of the gul contains two bird heads or horned animals. The carpet has a soft red ground colour which gives the carpet a very warm look, the border is of a classic Kizyl Ayak design. Note the very long kilim end finishes. The carpet is of very fine tight weave with soft glossy wool.

The carpet is in excellent condition with even wear with medium / low pile. The carpet has been hand washed and is suitable for normal domestic use.
