Antique Kizyl Ayak Ersari Turkmen main carpet with the tauk nuska’ ’ gul design; each segment of the gul contains two double headed birds. 

Circa 1880. 

The carpet has a soft red ground colour which gives the carpet a very warm look the border is of a classic Kizyl Ayak design. Note the very long kilim end finishes. The carpet is of very fine tight weave with soft glossy wool. The carpet is in excellent condition with very slight even wear with good pile. The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use. The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use.
