Old Afghan village rug of traditional Turkmen design the rug is a warm shaded red colour. 

Circa 1920. 

The rug has two rows of traditional Turkmen guls as can be seen in the images the shade of red changes half way up the rug this is not fading; it is caused by a change of dye lot in the wool being used. The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium pile. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use. The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
