Old Afghan village rug of Ersari Turkmen shrub design

The rug has a compartment design with each box containing a flowering shrub, the border is of a star design. The side bindings are in goats hair which is traditional for Afghan village rugs. The rug has soft warm colour palette.

The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile.

The rug is suitable for normal domestic use, small village rugs such as this are quite scarce.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
