Old Afghan village rug with a single row of seven large Turkmen turreted guls.
Circa 1920.
The rug is of a typical design from a Northern Afghan village, the colour is bright and clear with excellent wool.
The rug is in good condition with slight even wear and good pile, the ends retain the original kilim end finishes which are a little ragged, these could easily be improved if required at a small additional cost.
The rug is suitable for heavy domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
