Antique Ersari Turkmen main carpet from Southern Turkmenistan or Northern Afghanistan.

Circa 1890.

This is a good example of an Ersari Turkmen main carpet, the three rows of six large Ersari guls are separated by well drawn minor guls. The border is of a traditional Ersari design. The carpet has a warm colour palette with reds and burnt orange along with indigo blues.

The carpet is in good condition with even wear and medium / low pile.

The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use such as a dining room or a living room.
