Antique piled mafrash panel from the Varamin region of central Persia south of Tehran. 

Circa 1900. 

This panel is probably the side panel from a bedding or storage bag used by the nomads the design is typical for the region with a single large medallion on a dark indigo blue field. The panel is in good condition with slight even wear and good pile the panel retains a short kilim strip at the upper and lower end. There are a few very small spot of historic wear from use. The panel has been hand washed and is ready for display.
