Antique tribal chanteh (vanity bag) with plain weave back by the Azeri Tribes of Azerbaijan. 

Circa 1900. 

A good small bag to contain personal belongings woven in a brocade technique. The bag retains the original plain weave back with two rows of decoration at the top. The bag is in excellent condition with very slight even wear. The bag has been hand washed and is ready for display.
