An antique Eastern Anatolian Kurdish Yuruk long rug with four medallion design.

This is an excellent example of a Yuruk long rug, with a classic design of four medallions and traditional colour palette. The apricot / orange used in the border is traditional for this region of Eastern Anatolia, the medallions have a very clear dye quality. The rug retains the original decorated end finishes at both ends. The side bindings are very finely done in a style unique to the Yuruk.

Superb condition with slight wear and even pile. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use. Hand washed and ready for use or display.
