Antique Anatolian Kirsehir village prayer rug of traditional design. 

Size: 5ft 8in x 3ft 5in (172 x 104cm). 

2nd half 19th century. 

An interesting pictorial prayer rug with trees and villages houses this design is unique to the village of Kirsehir. The rug has a wide range of colours including soft blues greens and yellows with the mihrab being in a very soft powder blue. The attractive floral borders feature carnations and other flowers. The rug is in excellent condition even wear and medium pile. Hand washed and ready for use or display.
