Antique Tekke Turkmen dip khali’ rug with scarce aubergine ground colour. 

Circa 1900. 

These rugs are considered to be half size’ rugs; half the length and half the width of a main carpet. This excellent example has 4 rows of 11 Tekke guls of a round shape on a soft aubergine coloured field the border is of the sun burst design with stars. The rug retains the original decorated elem panels at both ends. The rug is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and good pile the rug is of fine weave with soft wool. The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display the rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
