Antique Saryk Turkmen rug with fine weave and very small size superb Cochineal colour to the centre of the guls. 

Circa 1900. 

It is unusual to find small Turkmen rugs that are not square this example has a pleasing simple design with superb colour the cochineal dye and the ivory ground work very well together. The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium pile. The rug is suitable for light domestic use. The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
