2nd half 19th century. 

A very good example of a West Anatolian Karakecili rug with a traditional design the rug has a the usual weave for these rugs and very earthy colour tones. Of particular note is the border design notice how the right hand border changes into a totally different design. The rug has retained the original kilim end finishes. The rug has even wear and medium pile there is some corrosion to the charcoal browns. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use. The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display
