A good example of a Malayer rug with the 'vase and peacock' design on a dark indigo blue ground. This rug is a scarce example from this village featuring this well known design, the vases are of a large size with peacocks on either side. The borders of the rug are detailed, very well drawn and always associated with this village. The rug has a superb range of colours.

The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile.Suitable for normal domestic use. The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
