Antique Senneh rug of traditional medallion design. 

Circa 1900. 

The rug has a large central medallion in two shades of indigo blue on a very soft madder red field. The border is beautifully drawn in a traditional design. The rug is covered with the very traditional all over herati design which is found in many rugs from this town. The rug is of a fine weave that you typically find with Senneh rugs. The rug is in fair condition with even wear and medium / low pile. The top left hand corner is slightly rounded as can be seen in the images this is reflected in the price. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use. The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
