Antique Khorasan Baluch rug possibly by the Salar Khani Baluch with turreted gul design.

 Circa 1900. 

A very sweet small Baluch rug with a design of three large turreted guls similar in design to those found in Saryk Turkmen weaving. The rug has a wonderful colour palette with soft madder red and large amounts of aubergine; the ivory highlights really stand out against this. The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium pile. The rug is suitable for light domestic use. S
