Antique Caucasian Shirvan Runner with Stripe Design, Circa 1890
A very good example of a Shirvan runner with fine weave and outstanding colours from the South Eastern Caucasus. The field is a diagonal stripe design with small square filler elements. The border is a repeat latch hook design.
The runner is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile. There is slight corrosion to the blacks. The runner is suitable for normal domestic use, has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
