A superb Caucasian Kazak rug from the second half of the 19th century with a single vertical row of 'Memling guls' within octagons. This piece has excellent colour and is typical of Kazak weaving. 

Great condition and even wear with good pile to the borders and lower pile to the middle. The rug has been hand washed and is suitable for light domestic use or display.
