Antique South Caucasian Armenian Kazak rug with linked medallion with a floral rosette border. 

Circa 1890. 

A nice example of an Armenian Kazak rug. The medallions filled with floral rosettes and appear to be floating on the terracotta red field. The rug has a well drawn rosette border which is on a light indigo blue ground. The rug is in fair condition with some wear with some heavier wear as seen in the images and medium / low pile the rug has excellent wool with clear dye colours. the wear is reflected in the price. The rug is suitable for light domestic use. A great furnishing rug with the lived with look. The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
