A superb 19th century Baluch rug from Western Afghanistan with a diamond lattice design containing a "mina khani" type floral pattern. This is surrounded by the large boat border. The colours are excellent with great electric blues, deep aubergine, madder red, ivory and black.

The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium pile. There is some corrosion to the blacks. It has been hand washed and would be suitable for normal domestic use.
