Product tabs
Size: 6ft 2in x 3ft 3in (188 x 99cm).
Antique Baluch rug, by the Mahdad Khani tribe of the Khorassan region of Eastern Persia.
A good Baluch rug with one of the less common designs, two rows of 6 large Tekke Turkmen guls. The border is a well drawn version of the Baluch 'flower and leaf' border. The rug has excellent colour and is very well drawn.
The rug is in good condition with even wear, medium pile, soft wool. There is corrosion to the browns as one would expect, there is a small area of damage to the side binding on the upper right hand side and the ends are slightly ragged, these could both be easily repaired if required, but the current condition is reflected in the price.
Hand washed and ready for use or display. The rug would be suitable for normal domestic use.
