A really outstanding example of a large size antique Sharkoy kilim with a very well drawn traditional design in a soft overall colour palette. Sharkoy kilims are also known as Sarkoy or Thracian, they originate from Western Turkey or the region known as European Turkey or The Balkans.

The weave is very tight and fine, the design is typical of the region, note the unusual border design. Very good condition with slight wear. Hand washed and suitable for normal domestic use.
