Antique Afghan Kizil Ayak Turkmen prayer rug with rams horn design to the Mihrab. 

Circa 1900. 

A very good small prayer rug the rams horn design in this format is associated with the Turkmen tribes; especially the Ersari / Kizil Ayak who settled in Northern Afghanistan. Note the stars either side of the rans horns. The rug has superb colour with a very warm palette. The rug is in excellent condition with slight wear and good pile. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
