Antique Red Afghan carpet with traditional Ersari design this carpet has superb colour with a very good deep rich red and a dark charcoal black. The carpet has three rows of six large guls. The carpet retains the original checkerboard kilims at both ends. 

Circa 1900. 

The carpet is in good condition with even wear and medium pile there is some heavier wear and corrosion to the blacks in the large guls. The carpet has been hand washed and ready for use or display. The carpet is suitable for heavy domestic floor use.
